Micah 5:1-15

1 Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.

2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

(Here is the key prophecy of the eternal God coming to earth to rid it of its usurper satan. The one who is to ‘waste’ him will come from the loins of King David whose hometown was Bethlehem of Judah. The Bible says that God created the ‘waster’ who destroys, and in poetic justice He will ‘waste’ him for ‘wasting’ the world: Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the ‘waster’ to destroy [Isaiah 54:16].)

3 Therefore will he give them up (the Israelites), until the time that she which travaileth (the time of Jacob’s trouble) hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren (the few who supernaturally survive the tribulation to repopulate the earth) shall return unto the children of Israel.

(This is one of the numerous prophecies forecasting the regarthering of Israel.)

4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

(His Kingdom shall cover the whole earth for Jesus paid with His blood to redeem it from satan.)

5 And this man (the Avenger of Blood) shall be (our) peace, when the Assyrian (Antichrist) shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

(Jesus will come as the ‘Avenger of Blood’ and destroy ‘the Assyrian’ in the land of Nimrod, the place where satan planted his Babylonian wild flower whose seeds spread all over the world via dry parching winds from off an Edenic garden that was once located in Babylonia but has turned into a wilderness.)

7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. (This is the Diaspora.)

8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep (Gentile unbelievers): who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. (When the time comes for the Avenger of Blood to act, nothing can keep Him from performing His duty.)

9 Thine hand (Avenger of Blood) shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.

10 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots: (tanks, helicopters, missiles, and armoured vehicles will not be able to prevent justice in honor of God’s righteousness.)

11 And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:

12 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers: (False religions and cults will evaporate cause satan and his imps will be in chains in the abyss.)

13 Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands. (No more seduction.)

14 And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities. (As per Revelation 18)

15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard. (the bowl judgments will be catastrophic.)

As prophesied, Israel is now regathered as a nation, and Iraq, ‘the land of the Assyrian,’ is now open, promising fulfillment of a host of prophecies such as the one above. The implication of the prophecy is that God is not through with Israel as some people would have you think. Did you notice how the citizens of Jerusalem overcome the Babylonian community when God finally judges the world? Jerusalem then becomes in the Millennium the centerpiece governing all nations.

The Babylonian mystique will have disappeared forever. After the Millennial reign of Jesus for a thousand years [Revelation 20:6], we have only had a preview to the ‘show’ that God is going to put on …of His exceeding riches of …grace and kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.’ [Ephesians 2:7]. Do you think that Hollywood can create extravaganzas and blockbusters? Just wait till you see what the Father God can do!

The crashing of the two tiles on the tower’s walls in the vision resonates the start of the fulfillment of the above prophecy. Jerusalem must be judged along with the world because the Antichrist will come onto her premises and defile it as he establishes his rule from her in a restored temple. Evidently, satan thinks he must sit in the seat of God, the Holy of Holies if he is to be worshiped as God. Since God has chosen Jerusalem as the place where He will dwell, it is incumbent upon the devil to set up his abomination that desolates the whole world there [Daniel 11:31; 12:11 with Matthew 24:15; Mark 13:14].

Many of the Bibles’ prophecies about Jesus’ Second Advent are nearing fulfillment as the Interfaith Movement expeditiously thrusts forward the emergence of a United States of Europe (otherwise known as the Revived Roman Empire). The instability of the Middle East also is hastening the formation of the UR multireligious organization

Throughout the ages, satan has hauled people into the tower of brick where multitudes of people have lost their souls in a sea of confusion, and where the red color depicts the blended blood of people from all faiths. The blood of anyone but Jesus is unholy because it is tainted by Adam’s sin. Being a sinner and morally unclean, man’s blood is unfit for a sacrifice. Jesus’ Father was God Himself since Mary was overshadowed by the third person of the Trinity [Luke 1:35]. The Spirit of God provided her the complimentary set of chromosomes to complete the man’s somatology. Do you think that’s cheating because the Holy Spirit is not a man? Well, the genes of the first Adam who got us in this mess were placed there by the same Holy Spirit that overshadowed Mary! Since the blood of a person comes from the father, this act of God makes the second Adam’s blood, namely Jesus, holy and qualified to pay for the sins of men.

In the twenty-second chapter of Genesis, we have the account of God swearing by Himself in a blood covenant agreement with Abraham that He will provide a sacrificial offering good enough to satisfy His righteous demands of the law. Abraham represents all the peoples of earth who accept by faith God’s Word on it. When people enter into a blood covenant, the only way out is death. 14 When Abraham’s son asked where the lamb was for the sacrificial offering that God had requested of him, he told Isaac: God will provide HIMSELF a lamb for a burnt offering [Genesis 22:8]. Read that: God Himself will become the lamb. Sure enough, before Abraham could kill Isaac, God stayed His hand and showed him a ram, a male sheep caught in the thicket by his horns. This ram represented the future substitute that God would provide for an offering on the altar of the cross at Calvary. Hence, the account of Abraham taking his son to the mount for a sacrifice was a portrait of God’s redemption of man.

Genesis 22:14

14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

We have seen that ‘jireh’ is Hebrew for its English equivalent ‘to provide.’ Jerusalem – Jireh plus Shalom means ‘to provide peace’ signifying that God will make peace with the world in Jerusalem. Jehovah-jireh is not so clear. If it translates ‘God will provide,’ what is He providing? He will provide a substitute sacrifice as an offering for sin. Isaac was taken to the mountain to become an offering to God. Never before had God asked for a human being to be sacrificed as an offering. So why ask for Isaac’s life now?

Most people believe that the Temple mount is where Moriah was located, but it has been discovered that the highest point in the mount area is actually where Calvary is located, and it is outside the city gates of Old Jerusalem. Jesus had to go outside the gates to be offered in order to fulfill Old Testament prophecy and complete the picture God painted for Abraham that the substitute sacrifice would be in the mount of the Lord.

Abraham went to the mountain ‘in faith’ not knowing God had planned to provide a substitute for him. He went up there thinking God would have to raise his son from the dead since He had requested Abraham to do this thing. Being a covenant partner with God, Abraham could not refuse or it would mean his own life would have to be forfeited. Abraham fully planned to kill Isaac and burn him to ashes [Hebrew 11:17-19]. This is the custom of covenants. Hence, Abraham expected God to raise him from the dead since Isaac was his seed through whom God had promised he would inherit the world [Romans 4:13]. Blood covenants are powerful motivators. 15
