I have been reading lately that there are concerted efforts by several disparate groups to bring forth the long lost Ark of God. One source says that the Ark, having been quietly preserved in Ethiopia for centuries, has been recently returned to Israel for an imminent appearance of their long awaited Messiah. Its location is undisclosed. Another source reports that the Tabernacle was actually seen although inaccessible from the vantage point by a prominent Indiana Jones type explorer of Temple Mount treasures in a cavern under the Temple. Another adventurer said he is certain it can be located near the location of where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in a Cave of the Columns which cave connects to the Temple Mount by a tunnel. |
He located it, he reports, by dissecting the writing of the Copper Scroll that is preserved in Jordan. Lastly, prominent Rabbis whose integrity is impeccable attest that they have actually seen the Ark in a vault underneath the Temple Mound. Whether any of these conjectures are true is not our purpose in bringing them to your attention. Rather, they speak to the Sanhedrin’s objective in building their temple ‘in the manner of King David.’ The current events reported above confirm that the message of this vision should be taken all the more seriously because the Lord’s return appears extremely close. We know for a fact from the book of Jeremiah that Jeremiah hid the Tabernacle and the Ark long ago in a cave somewhere. Because they were secreted together, we know that if one were found, the other ought not be far away. Since the ‘kalal’ that held the sacred incense to be burned on the Altar of Incense has been found and authenticated as that of the Torah’s formula specifications, we can surmise that it will not be long until the Tabernacle and Ark will come to light. The problem with it coming to the forefront is that it will entice the Jews into building a Temple for the Messiah they are expecting, but unfortunately, he will not be the Christ but the Antichrist. The fact that they are proceeding ‘in the manner of King David’ gives the impression that they might use the discovered Tabernacle, tattered from age, as a place for their sacrificial worship until they can put together the prefabricated temple they are in the process of constructing. This was the manner of King David. Read what Amos says about the Tabernacle of David in the last days.
Note that Amos prophesied that the Tabernacle of David would be rebuilt as in the day of old. In using the phrase ‘In that day,’ he is referring to the Day of the Lord. So there appears a reasonable assumption that the Tabernacle of David is going to surface in the near future. If this happens, the Jews would probably have to repair it as implied above because a breach is a tear either literally or figuratively. The Bible has proven itself to be quite literal. Archaeological excavations and scientific discoveries have continually attested to the precision of it. When discrepancies happen between the Bible and Science, the evidence reveals that most of the time, researchers have not taken the Bible literally enough. This should give us pause for alarm knowing what the Book of Revelation has prophesied is going to transpire in the last week of years prior to the Millennium. Having been stored for
centuries, the Tabernacle undoubtedly has some places that would
need patching. Closing up the tears, then, means it will most likely
be literally repaired for use prior to the completion of the building
of the Temple ‘in the manner of King David!’ Because
in David’s day, burnt offerings were continued in Gibeon until
Solomon’s Temple was finished, and because David’s Tabernacle
was set up on the western slope of Mt. Zion, it is conceivable that
David’s Tabernacle with its animal sacrifices might be performed
in another location until the prefabricated tribulation temple is
put together. Then when the tribulation temple is complete, the Antichrist
will stop the oblations and deceive the Jews by setting up his image
in the holy place instead of the Ark of God. |
God’s purpose in sending this vision is to encourage believers to prayer and Bible study. It is the only way to receive power, which every Christian is going to need in these trying last days. Recall Jeannette said that she could not join the others in the chapel because she did not know enough about the Bible? The Holy Spirit was subtly warning us through her comment that without knowledge of the Scriptures, believers would be handicapped in knowing how to participate in God’s endtime agenda as specified in the book of Revelation. How can you perform if you don’t know the plan? The bottom line of this message is that Jeannette had to go into the Presence of God before she could receive God’s holy anointing oil. Therefore, the sequence for empowerment is first worship and Bible study and then ability to do what Jesus has prophesied in His Revelation for the end times. God’s plans and agenda are discerned as we read the Bible and fellowship with Him. Significantly, the Leader in our vision taught His disciples out of the Book of Revelation beginning in chapter three because that is where we are in time. If ever we need anointing power, it is now. Terrorism and disasters abound and the landscape is parched with fear. Since fear and faith cannot coexist, faith is at a premium, but it only comes by hearing God’s Word [Romans 10:17]. The more time you spend in the Presence of God resting under the shadow of His wings, the greater will His peace fill your heart and garrison your mind [Philippians 4:7] so that you can be an effective ambassador for the Kingdom of Heaven. I find it interesting, yea instructive, that the preceding message to the church on this website entitled The Message of the Reels, was all about sanctification, the prerequisite to power, power being the theme of this vision. The holiness movement in John Wesley’s era sprang up from an emphasis on sanctification, and it laid the foundation for a surge of evangelism. Sanctification is the only way to move God to send the rains. Without rain, the harvest will not mature. People are dying lost and eternally damned because the church is lax in pursuing sanctification. Sanctification and power are inextricably united because sanctification is the only way into God’s Presence where the power is. Sanctification presupposes repentance, indeed it requires it If we do not search our hearts and keep sinful blessing blockers out of the way, we cannot receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit because God will not fellowship with sin. Separation from the world, the flesh, and the devil is necessary to have genuine communion with the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, without a close association with the Holy Ghost, we cannot effectively carry out God’s will in our lives. A sense of the need for sanctification has succumbed to an emphasis on prosperity and development of faith. I do not say that they have been overemphasized because without faith and prosperity it would be impossible to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom to all the nations of the world. However, prosperity is dangerous without sanctification because they who would be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition [1 Timothy 6:9]. We can seek financial prosperity if we seek daily sanctification too. Keeping separated from the world will temper the temptation to compromise the faith that saved us. The need for sanctification is greater than ever due to the shock of overchoice, relentless learning curves, and rapid communication all of which steal precious time away from fellowshipping with the Lord. Scene one of our vision shows we must enter the Presence of God for sanctification before we can obtain anointing oil for power as depicted in scene two. The flesh is bound to die in the Presence of a holy righteous God. Do you desire to be spiritual? Then commune daily with God in His Word, the only place where a believer can receive infillings of the Holy Spirit, the power source of the Kingdom. We saw this demonstrated by the command of the Leader of the board members to dip broken pieces of bread symbolic of the Word in the oil. Feeding on God’s Word is the means to Kingdom power. Soaking the bread with oil indicated that the Word is saturated with God’s power. If we do not feed on the Word of God, we cannot perform the miracles we need in difficult days. It takes faith to perform miracles, but faith power is reflective of Word power. Since God’s power is intrinsic to His Word, our power is no stronger than our Word level. Jesus said that the oil flowing out of Him through His Word is given to us, His sanctified ones, for this point in the end time. What He meant by this is that we can do nothing without Him, without His Word [John 15:5]. Again, our power level will be dependent upon our Word level, upon the amount of Word we ingest through meditation. Saturation will produce maturation, which is the catalyst for transformation and perhaps even be necessary for translation in the rapture. What a scary thought! Jesus said to repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand [Matthew
4:17]. It arrived in the person of King Jesus, and having arrived,
it has been available for 2,000 years. The only way to access
its assets though, is through prayer and sanctification.
The reason
the Kingdom of Heaven is not manifested to a greater degree is
because
of lack of repentance. Did not Jesus say that except ye repent
ye shall all likewise perish [Luke 13:3,5]? God responds to believers’ prayers
only through genuine repentance and true sanctification. Then and
only then can we work the works of Jesus [John 14:12]. |
Having established that believers will need help from God in these
days of confusion and uncertainty, the Spirit is saying that
we must be ready
for His coming. Twice in the book that the Redeemer was quoting from,
Jesus said He was coming as a thief: |
Revelation 3:3 If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief , and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Revelation 16:15 |

Note He is coming AS a thief. He is not coming for what is not His. We know from chapter four and five in Revelation where Jesus began speaking that He was emphasizing the time was ready for the tribulation era to begin and for Him to take what belongs to Him. How do we know the vision speaks to this? Both chapters four and five reveal a scene in heaven where the Redeemer-Lamb was found to be the only one able to open the sealed scroll in the hand of God.
What might the significance be that induced the Redeemer in the vision to start quoting at this place in the book? Clearly, He wanted to emphasize to His followers, the recipients of the message in this vision that the time is ripe for claiming what belongs to Him. Our Redeemer, who alone is worthy to open the seals of the scroll that indicts the world for its rebellion against its maker, is about to show up with an affidavit from heaven showing that the earth belongs to Him by virtue of His conquest over the oppressor of the inhabitants of the world, and there is no time to lose. Believers must get ready. We have learned that He is coming as a thief for His own people to take them off the earth while it is being cleansed of evil. As per Matthew 24:14, this gospel of the Kingdom has been proclaimed in all nations. Every single person many not have heard it preached, but mankind is without excuse if they are eternally lost. Psalms 19 explains how the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth his handywork [verse 1. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard [verse 3]. It may not be an audible voice, but no person is without an inward witness that there is a Creator God and man is responsible to respond to Him as Lord.
When leaves are seen on the tree, then fruit time is not far off. Notice Jesus did not say when you see the fruit because Israel is not yet a purified nation to house the seat of the King of the Kingdom. All we are to look for are the leaves – a sign of strength – on the tree. Indeed, Israel has military strength. In Luke He also mentions we will see leaves on all the trees as a sign of His returning. This is referring to the surge of nationalism as a political force in the last half of the 20th century. The United Nations has almost doubled in number of nations as territories and colonies have declared independence from their former vassal lords. Time and space forbids mention of all the other signs Jesus gave in the Matthew 24 discourse when His appearance would be at hand. Given the escalation and magnitude of disastrous events in the last couple of years, we ought to heed what Jesus said,
He didn’t say to get depressed or fearful. Rather He said to lift up your heads, and get excited about things because our redemption draws near. You can gauge your readiness by your reaction to world upheavals. Are you frightened? If so, you are not committed to wanting the Kingdom to manifest. Our Lord compared the coming of the Kingdom to labor pains of a woman giving birth. You cannot stop the turmoil and agitation because babies are born that way, and the Kingdom of Heaven will come that way too according to Jesus. If you love the Lord, then you will say Praise God, the Kingdom is almost here. The baby is coming and you will be excited with anticipation about its arrival. Getting anointed with Jesus’ anointing oil is the way to stop depression and fear because you will know how to avoid being a casualty. Ask yourself, ‘am I excited or depressed seeing all these confusing and calamitous events?’ Ask the Lord for help and direction in your quest for sanctification and He will surely answer. He never turns away from anyone who seeks to know Him better.
