We have an identity crisis challenging God’s people today. They have forgotten who they are. Perhaps those who seem to have forgotten never were a part of the family of God as Apostle John suggests in his letter to the saints in his day.
The greater part of God’s church seems adrift in uncharted waters trying to get to “the sides of the north, the city of the great King” [Psalms 48:2]. This drift can be summarized by what is known as the Emerging Church. The following is Wikipedia's definition of it. |
|
The Emerging Church's purposes are driven [pun intended] primarily by self regard, social reform, and humanistic ideals. It has left its mooring of seeking the salvation of the lost at whatever the cost, and is merchandising in the souls of men [Revelation 18:11-13]. It is the embodiment of the Tribulation Church. How can we tell that the church is adrift? The universal, catholic Tribulational Church is already conforming to governmental regulations forbidding the teaching of certain basic tenets of Christianity and the effort to resist is minimal. Enforcement is on the rise in the U.S., and in some countries, enforcement is a fact. To give you an idea of the shift in worldview 1 of Christians I submit evidence regarding legislative attempts to combat aids in an African country plagued with it. The legislature was ready to unanimously pass a law making molestation of children a crime punishable by imprisonment. Witchcraft had promoted the idea that if a victim of aids had sex with a virgin, children naturally being targeted, the disease would be cured. A highly visible and influential, questionably fundamental yet evangelical, Christian cleric in the U.S. wrote letters to each of the legislative members exhorting them not to pass the law. This vision confirms the worst – apostasy has affixed its hold upon the church and will destroy it. |
Who are God’s people? Are they members of the universal church that's emerging? Does the flaming cross in this vision indicate Christianity is on fire for God or against Him? How can a lukewarm church burst into flames? In this vision, Jeannette saw a flying eagle regress into a flaming cross that depicted something dramatic happening of epic proportions. Being the swiftest and strongest of birds, the eagle represents a fast transformation of what is occurring. You are witnessing a crime scene. Being a bird of prey, the eagle swooshed down from on high with its eyes fixated upon Jeannette's as eagles do upon their prey. You, my friend, are the prey. As Jeannette often does, she stood in for something, and this time it is you. If you do not receive this message from God, you will wind up in the flames of His justice. The church began aflame with its hot message of salvation through Jesus, and it will end in like manner as God prunes the dead lukewarm branches from off His tree of righteousness throwing them into the fires of holiness [John 15:6].

The permutation of political mandates against religious dogma is premeditatedly fostering lukewarmness, the major characteristic Jesus attached to the final Laodicean Church of the Grace Age. Jesus warned this church that ...because thou art lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I will spue (vomit) thee out of my mouth [Revelation 3:16]. And because He does, its members will be left behind to endure the tribulation – hence, the name, Tribulation Church.
Today, there is a growing acceptance of other faith systems among church members which is revealed in some recent polls on religious beliefs. Although the United States is fairly religious, its citizens in the main, 57% of 35,000 polled evangelicals, do not believe Jesus is the only way to heaven 2 , which is a fundamental doctrine of Christianity. If this many evangelicals are adrift, what must the number be in the population at large who hold to their personal opinion of how to reach heaven? If Jesus is the only way as He said He is [John 14:6], to believe otherwise means one is not hot but lukewarm – if not cold. George Barna of the Barna Group, a polling syndicate, has spoken to this issue of lukewarmness. He effectively summarized lukewarmness in the following statement reported on the One News Now website 3 :
From the above, we can see that Americans are more interested in faith and spirituality than in Christianity. Can the move away from orthodox Christian doctrine compromise who Christians are? Europe has already dumped mainline Christian teaching. Thousands of churches and cathedrals have been transformed into venues for secular activities. Yet mosques are on the rise everywhere. Could this be telling us something about why the whore of Revelation chapter 17 will be destroyed? The foregoing analysis summarily explains why the church's lukewarmness gets stronger and less hot until the Tribulation Church paradoxically bursts into flames as she is eaten up by the New World Order upon which she sits.
We know that the Lord does nothing without revealing to His servants the prophets His intentions beforehand [Amos 3:7]. We therefore exhort whosoever reads this vision and its interpretation to be duly warned by the gravity of the message that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Be prepared for rapture 4. How? |

Propitiation means the punishment for sin was satisfied when Jesus died. Because He was sinless and did not need a savior, Jesus' death was therefore a satisfactory substitution in the eyes of God for the claims of holiness and justice. Furthermore, Apostle John was a firsthand witness attesting to God's love and satisfaction:
Why do people go to hell then? Hear Jesus clearly state the reason before He ascended to heaven after His resurrection from the dead:

Because the background for the last vision entitled “Linen Cloths” is applicable for this one and indeed is important to fully understand the choreography of the eagle’s transformation, I refer you to it before reading further 5. In a short synopsis, “Linen Cloths” reveals God at work reviving His people, Israel, from out of a centuries-long, death-dealing stupor so that He can complete the last seven years of the Age of Israel 6. In this vision, God shows us what the outcome will be of Jesus' Laodicean 7 people who complete the Age of Grace . During His 3½ years of ministry while fulfilling the demands of the law and finishing it, Jesus taught His disciples the principles upon which the forthcoming Age of Grace would be established. These years overlapped the end of one age with the beginning of another. Similarly, today as the last apostate church winds up the Age of Grace, God is reviving His chosen nation of Israel from which He will rule earth during the Millennium. The Millennial or Kingdom Age is next on God's agenda. Here is a list of the Biblical Ages 8 as derived from Scripture:
According to this vision and "Linen Cloths", we are. We might postpone judgment, but the die is cast as Israel learned in her era as God's agent. Kingdom Now proponents say that because Christians are kings and have been given dominion and authority over all things due to Jesus' conquest of satan at the cross, they can decree into existence the Kingdom now through intercession. Without doubt we can. But our decrees cannot abrogate Biblical prophecy that reveals a terrible time of tribulation for the world before Jesus sets up His Kingdom. This tribulation period comprises the birth pangs for the Kingdom's manifestation. Therefore, intercession for the Kingdom's appearance now before Jesus returns to set it up Himself is actually pleading for the time of Jacob's trouble (the birthing process).
During this time of trouble, as we saw in "Linen Cloths", Jesus selects and awakens those Jewish nationalists that He wants to populate His land in Palestine during His Kingdom rule. He is at work changing stony hearts into hearts of flesh. Why is He doing this? He's working to produce "the remnant" of believers who will repopulate earth after the fire bath of God's judgment. Throughout
Scripture God speaks of a remnant of believers among God's people
in both His Old Testament Hebrew nation and in His
New Testament
church at large. Significantly, the remnant is
a reference to a special group of people of a certain size. Because
the syntactical
article "the" precedes
the word 'remnant', it constitutes a particular number. In the
Kingdom Age,...
This remnant will be the third part of Jews who make it through the tribulation period to enter the Millennial Kingdom.
As we saw in "Linen Cloths", Jews are ripening for plucking to make up the elect remnant. Ripening is the result of intercessory prayers for Israel's awakening. Through these prayers, the pressures of the uniting nations against them are softening Jewish hearts to cry out to God for His Messiah to come. Desire for their Messiah will increase now that the USA, her faithful ally, is turning her back on Israel and favoring Israel's enemies – to America's hurt. There is none so blind as those who refuse to see. History attests to the fact that God curses those who curse Israel [Genesis 12:3]. The BP oil incident in the Gulf of Mexico is the latest in a litany of curses upon America. Our leadership's policy of pressuring Israel to give up their right to make sovereign choices for their own welfare is unwittingly but assuredly destroying us. Jerusalem has become today the burdensome stone to all nations exactly like Zechariah prophesied she would be in the last days [12:3]. Fortunately, Messianic Jews are gathering momentum as the Grace Age closes, and they will mushroom into a large body of believers when the 144,000 Jews are sealed for their evangelistic work during the tribulation 9.
